Data for the database on worries of older adults were collected by the Israel Gerontological Data Center in an evaluation study conducted in 2011, which was commissioned and funded by the Ministry for Senior Citizens. In the evaluation study, we sought to examine what worries older adults in major areas of life: health, personal security, social networks, and economic situation. The database included computerized data collected from 550 respondents in a telephone survey. Data were obtained from a representative national sample of persons aged 65 and over. The survey questionnaire was distributed in three languages: Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian. The questionnaire was developed by the staff of the IGDC.
